2. What are they on about? He studies the development and maintenance of social networks. He basically studies how people uses social networking sites to gather information and he analyses the impacts of these sites for large organizations. For instance, one of his studies focused on Twitter users with the most updates. He is a heavy user and advocate of Twitter.
3. Do they have more than one site? Twitter is the only personal social networking site Wellman holds.
4. Do they look good online? Yes, because he is talked about a lot on the internet. Although he only has one personal site, his work is published on many other sites.
5. Are their virtual presences static? Yes, he continually tweets and his last tweet was posted 2 hours ago.
6. Are they institutional? Yes, he is a Prof ofthe Department of Sociology at the University of Toronto and part of the Knowledge Media Design Institute at the University.
7. Do they link to others? Yes, he is in constant connectivity with other online users.
